How did Aiguisage CL come into being?
The Aiguisage CL adventure began over a decade ago with Cédric Lévesque, owner and founder of the company in 2011. His journey began in 2010, when he embarked on a career as a door-to-door salesman for a sharpening company.
He quickly excelled in this field, rising to the rank of top salesman. However, faced with the inconsistency of his employer at the time, he decided to launch his own business, relying on a sales team that he rigorously trained as technician-sharpeners.
Since then, we’ve grown, evolved and refined our art, always with the same mission: to ensure that every blade, every tool, we treat is returned to its best condition, optimizing its performance and durability.
Our modus operandi
Armed with experienced sharpening technicians, we have 4 trucks that criss-cross the roads of Greater Montreal to offer sharpening and honing services for kitchen knives, hairdressing/sewing scissors, garden tools, paper cutters, gas or manual lawnmower blades and miter saws.
You can also schedule your appointment in advance to suit your schedule. We serve both the residential and institutional sectors, where we can sharpen a few items, and the commercial sector, which requires regular visits.

Aiguisage CL was created in 2011 to meet an unmet need for high-end knife sharpening and homing in the greater Montreal area. Faced with a market where few had mastered the art of sharpening Japanese or European knives, valuable pieces requiring special treatment for their hardness, Aiguisage CL was born.
With a team of dedicated salespeople and a door-to-door sales approach, we quickly saw particular success in affluent neighborhoods popular with cooking enthusiasts. However, the challenge was daunting, facing many so-called professionals who failed to deliver work up to expectations.
This reality strengthened my determination to offer an unrivalled service. After training online with Japanese sharpeners and acquiring in-depth knowledge through videos and reading, I invested in state-of-the-art equipment to bring honor to the art of sharpening.
